Speaking of forks, lets do some wheels
These wheels were in pretty rough shape, but didn't have any cracks or dents so we restored and painted them.
rear wheel before:
cutting spokes!
Painted hub
Lacing wheels is actually really satisfying.
Plus Black wheels with gold nipples and chrome spokes just looks so damn good.

GL1000 front end
Early GL1000 front ends are pretty much a direct swap on CB750's. This gives you dual disc brakes and bigger forks.
Before and after on the GL1000 fork lowers
Painted lower fork legs
There's a little more to it than that, like using the fork tube from the original CB750 front end to push the bearings onto the stem, but for the most part it's a relatively simple operation.

Opening up the triangle
This is a 1979 CB750k. It has had a hard life on the streets of NYC and for the past 4+ years it has been languishing out of doors in Staten Island. Time for a rebirth. It's been a while since we started this bike but get ready for a bunch of progress!
